Collect your food, feed, environmental swab, water, OTC drug, herbal or spice sample. No pretreatment, homogenisation or dilution step is required — the kit handles it all internally.
Add the specified volume or weight of sample directly into the MBS Presence / Absence vial as instructed on the kit label. Seal securely.
Place the inoculated vial in a small portable thermostat at the recommended temperature. Incubation time varies by target organism — refer to the kit datasheet for exact parameters.
After incubation, observe the colour change of the medium. Compare against the included Quality Control sheets to determine Presence / Absence and get an approximate indication of bacterial load.
The kit is self-disposable — seal and discard as per local regulations. No autoclave or specialist waste stream needed, making on-site testing truly practical.
